Christophe Hermine Named Manager of Clubhouse Operations
As the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club prepares to unveil its new 19,400 sq. ft. clubhouse in May 2024, the historic property has hired Christophe Hermine to lead clubhouse operations, including food and beverage and event management. Hermine will oversee the grand opening of the new Adobe Bar & Grille, the club’s new grab-and-go market known as The Pantry, as well as the venue’s event space, The Ballroom.
Hermine is a highly experienced and passionate hospitality industry veteran having led the operations at a number of private clubs and resorts, including The Peninsula Club in Cornelius, North Carolina and Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. Prior to his time at Desert Mountain, Hermine served as the assistant general manager at Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois and before that, served in the same position at Desert Highlands in Scottsdale. Early in his career, he served as an assistant food and beverage director/beverage manager at the Arizona Biltmore Resort. Over his 30-plus year career, Hermine has a proven track record of developing and building teams, enhancing guest and member service levels and achieving strong levels of financial performance.
“Christophe’s extensive hospitality background, commitment to top-level service and the customer experience made him a natural fit to lead the operations of our beautiful new clubhouse,” said JDM Partners Principal Jerry Colangelo. “As we prepare for the grand opening of the clubhouse, we’re looking forward to welcoming the community to the new and improved Arizona Biltmore Golf Club. We’re thrilled to have Christophe leading our food and beverage team.”
Born and raised in France, Hermine holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Tourism from the School of Tourism in Fontiville, France, and is a Certified Club Manager from the Club Management Association of America (CMAA).
“I am excited to be part of the JDM company and have the pleasure to open the beautiful new clubhouse,” said Hermine.
The spring 2024 opening of the multi-million-dollar clubhouse will mark the third and final phase of the reimagined Arizona Biltmore Golf Club. Designed as a luxurious estate conversant with its immediate neighbors by Douglas Fredrikson, AIA, and Alexandra Lemos of Phoenix-based Douglas Fredrikson Architects, spaces in the new clubhouse will be named for rooms one would find on an estate, including The Pantry, The Gallery, The Ballroom and The Balcony. The Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired architecture blends a modern southwest design, incorporating many notable elements of the neighboring Arizona Biltmore Resort, including the signature concrete Biltmore block prominent in the resort’s motif. The new Adobe Bar & Grille will feature a center bar, community tables for dining and swapping golf stories, multiple televisions and large rolling doors that open to an expansive patio with views of the Estates Course and downtown Phoenix. The Bar area will also include a music room, where a beautiful piano will help provide a lounge-like atmosphere, regularly entertain guests and add ambiance to the dining experience. Separate from the Bar, the Adobe’s beautiful dining room will also feature dynamic views of the skyline for neighbors, resort guests, golfers and non-golfers to enjoy. The new clubhouse replaces the former Adobe Restaurant and event tent, while adding additional on-site parking and landscape improvements to the property.
JDM Partners’ significant investment in the reimagined Arizona Biltmore Golf Club followed years of consulting with neighbors, community stakeholders, the City of Phoenix and industry experts. The new clubhouse, golf shop and Estates Course complement the recent investments in the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Wrigley Mansion and bring the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club on par with these world-class facilities.
