HOLE #1 | PAR 4

Those with first tee jitters can relax a bit with a wide open first hole fairway that gets you started on your way. Play to the center of the green here as this green is elevated and a shot that misses the green will present an “interesting” chip back onto the playing surface.

HOLE #2 | PAR 5

This is the first Par 5 of the day and a good chance to pick up an early red number on the card. You’ll want to avoid the large bunker on the left side of the fairway. This is one of our biggest greens on the course so be sure to check your yardage so that you can hit to the correct section of the green and have a go at birdie.

HOLE #3 | PAR 4

You’re heading slightly uphill on this hole so you may not get too much roll. This is a really great green that can be more than a bit deceiving from the fairway. You can play it safe to the center of the green, or bite off a bit more to nestle the shot closer to the pin. But beware!

HOLE #4 | PAR 4

You may find the short Par 4 calls for less than driver. We recommend you consider being a little conservative here, avoid the fairway bunker on the right, and enjoy the short shot from the fairway into the green. Sometimes the longer hitters learn a lot from making the smart club choice on a hole like this. Remember, even a driver needs an occasional time-out!

HOLE #5 | PAR 3

This is a really great Par 3 that heads north toward our Golf Shop and Biltmore Clubhouse, with Piestewa Peak in the background acting as a wonderful backdrop to this visually appealing hole. You may feel compelled to take a few pictures of you and your golf pals on the tee box.

HOLE #6 | PAR 4

This is a really strong Par 4 that will require two good shots to get home in regulation. The green is very small. A left side pin position, while inviting, brings the greenside bunker into play and may not be your best option. Sometimes a safe shot will save you strokes on the hole.

HOLE #7 | PAR 3

Step up to the tee on this longer, straightaway Par 3. The hole is in front of you with nothing hidden up by the green. Don’t hold anything back and you may be rewarded with a hard-earned birdie.

HOLE #8 | PAR 4

Welcome to the short Par 4 where the big stick may bring the fairway bunkers into play. Your best option is to play a shorter club off the tee and then attack this slightly elevated green.

HOLE #9 | PAR 4

A tee shot to the center of the fairway and perhaps just a little left of center is a smart play. Going down the right side of the fairway will bring the creek into play as well as the large Pine tree on the right side of the hole.

PRO TIP: The white aiming pole is in the center of the fairway.

HOLE #10 | PAR 4

You get to kick off the Back 9 with a nice Par 4 and the potential to pick up a shot here. However, there is OB down both the left and right side of this hole, so use your most accurate driving club to remain in play and out of harm’s way.

HOLE #11 | PAR 4

The 11th hole is a really good Par 4 that has one of the most interesting greens on the golf course. There are many pin placements on the green. So, along with the challenging undulations, it will often require you to make a longer putt outside the friendship circle to save par.

HOLE #12 | PAR 3

The course architect has drawn up a deceiving, shorter Par 3. Without any bunkers, this hole looks pretty tame. With its narrow green, it’ll take a well-struck tee shot as there is little margin for error if you want to write down a birdie on the scorecard.

HOLE #13 | PAR 4

The hole is a good-looking Par 4 that heads to the west and is usually into a slight, prevailing breeze. This green is very interesting with some fall-off spots around its perimeter, so a safer shot to the center of the green may be in order so you don’t give one back to par.

HOLE #14 | PAR 4

This is the start of a really good stretch of closing holes. The hole is one of the longer Par 4’s on the golf course and it also heads uphill. The best play is to the center or right side of this fairway. There are some great views as you look into the distance behind the green that will frame your second shot.

HOLE #15 | PAR 5

The hole offers up a risk/reward Par 5 that it may be wiser not to challenge. It features a small green that is guarded by bunkers and also some trees on the left. While it seems reachable to the longer hitter, it is best to lay up and play a short wedge into this green for another potential red number on the card.

HOLE #16 | PAR 4

Here you’ll find a good short Par 4 that will require good placement of your tee shot so you can attack the pin position.

HOLE #17 | PAR 3

A superb Par 3 from any distance, this hole will require a really good tee shot to carry the bunker to any right pin position. You can short-side yourself if you get into the bunker. Alternately, want play to the center or left side of this green. You’ll find a beautiful view of the hilltop Wrigley Mansion in the background.

HOLE #18 | PAR 5

The best tee shot on this gentle dogleg right is to actually be more left than it looks from the tee. This closing Par 5 has a small green that is guarded by some large bunkers. A second shot to about 50 yards short of the green will provide you with a great opportunity to take advantage of a shorter third shot into the green. But, watch the falloff on the back left side of the green. The up-and-down from there will be challenging.
